revise on my draft

My character is the boy in "children of the sea". In order to perform better, there are multiple aspects of my acting skills need to be improved. First, to show the depression on the boat, I need to keep my voice deep. For example, when I am describing the moment when Celianne throws her baby overboard, I should be the one who sets up the depressing tone by using my deep voice to show the audience how heartless people are when they are facing this kind of situation. Secondly, because I do not have lots of actual interactions with other performers (I have lots of monologues), I need to try my best to show my relationships with other characters. For instance, when I am talking about Josephine (my love), I need to use a soft voice in order to show how precious she is to me, also, I need to use my body language well since monologue will be boring if actors do not be active on the stage. Therefore, I need to move actively on the limited amount of space I get on stage since the stage is divided into three different parts. My other character is the offstage voice who says “witch! She is a witch! Criminal!” when Josephine’s mother is on the stage. Though this character only has few lines, it is important to show the right emotion in order to grab audience’s attention. For example, when I say the line, I need to be aggressive and loud, which shows my anger against witches, and how I’m brain washed by the voodoo religion. Despite acting wise, I do need to work on my dictions since sometimes when I speak too fast, audience will be hard to understand.  Therefore, I need to be familiar with my lines and practice frequently in order to improve.
